Sublime stamped Berlin daybed model #T303 designed by Bruno Mathsson for Firma Karl Mathsson in Varnamo, Sweden 1960. Crafted from blonde beechwood in the Scandinavian modern style originally featured at the International Exhibition in Berlin 1957. The rare daybed is supported by four dramatic arrow shaped legs conjoined by a stretcher. The bed or platform deck is topped with a supremely comfortable memory foam mattress with an original tufted cream wool cover. The bed is slightly angled or elevated on one end. Handsome profile with strong, solid joinery. Very original and well-preserved. The frame is stamped by maker with a date of 1960. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
