The Victoria lucky beetle pictured is a stylized lucky beetle with striking geometric shapes (round body with two black dots on it, a black vertical line in the middle and a black area at the top in the shape of a circle segment, above two black squares as antennae), which was in use from 1957/58 to 1980 and was created by the Baar graphic designer and artist Elso Schiavo (born 1934). Before that, from 1939 to 1956/57, the naturalistic Victoria ladybug was in use.
