Large Poliedri wall lamps designed by Carlo Scarpa in 1961 for Venini glassworks. 4 wall sconces available.
\nPainted metal frame, transparent blown glass, in the rare version consisting of 48 polyhedra, excellent condition, new electrical system and in accordance with the law.
\nThis set also has replacement glass in case of accidental damage.
\nPolihedrons were first proposed as compositional elements of the large Venini chandelier, designed by Ignazio Gardella, Paolo Venini and Enrico Peresutti, presented at the 1958 Brussels Expo, placed in the central hall of the Italian Pavilion.
\nThe famous cascade chandelier proposed at the Turin Expo “Italia ’61” by Venini with Carlo Scarpa was made with such a module.
\nThese blown glass elements make it possible to create lighting apparatuses of ever-changing shapes and sizes.
\nCircular-shaped chandeliers and wall sconces composed of the Poliedri elements, made of blown glass\/crystal and arranged on several levels.<\/p>\n

Carlo Scapra made a name for himself in the post-World War II period through major installations, particularly in Venice: the Paul Klee exhibition for the XXIV Biennale, the 1950 Art Book Pavilion, and the Italian Pavilion at the XXVI Biennale.
\nIn 1932 he began working with VENINI, becoming its artistic director until 1946. A long period during which he left an indelible mark on the world of the Furnace, for the design of models that have gone down in history and for the search for the most refined techniques.
