Vintage 20th Century Italian Marine Relief Sideboard by Paolo Buffa, 1940s

An unusual mid 20th Century Italian credenza created from solid limed oak, designed by Paolo Buffa, an Italian architect and designer who specialised in traditional craftsmanship with a twist of modern design. The cabinet features marine relief on the front, depicting a selection of sea life from fish, seaweed plants and starfish. This piece has three cupboards, a smaller one at each end and a two door cupboard in the center, all with a locking mechanism.

Paolo Buffa was an influential Italian architect and designer who made significant contributions to the field of interior design during the mid-20th century. Born in 1903 in Milan, Buffa established himself as a prominent figure in the Italian design scene.
