Børge Mogensen, Sofa 2218 for Fredericia Stolefabrik. Danemark C.1950
The 2218 sofa was designed by Danish design master Børge Mogensen for Fredericia Stolefabrik. The three-seater sofa structure is made of solid oak and the cushions are upholstered in pearl white bouclé. Simple and functional, Børge Mogensen having drawn inspiration from the shaker style for many of his creations, the elegant 2218 has a minimalist and sturdy design.
The structure is in its original condition, with patina of time, traces of use and minor cosmetic wears. Partially restored and completely reupholstered. Made in Denmark in the 1950s.
