Sigvard Bernadotte was a Swedish prince and industrial designer. He was the second son of King Gustav VI Adolf of Sweden and his first wife, Princess Margaret of Connaught, granddaughter of Queen Victoria of Britain. Bernadotte was born a Swedish prince and originally held the title Duke of Uppland, but he was excluded from the line of succession and lost his Swedish titles in 1934 when he married a commoner.
