The Lily chair is the last chair ever designed by Arne Jacobsen. It was created in 1968 for the Danish National Bank project.
The perfect curves of the seat are the result of an extremely complicated molding process.
The diffusion of this model has remained quite symbolic. But this chair is even rarer, because the veneer is Rio rosewood. Today this wood is part of the protected species and cannot be been used since many years.
The chrome of the base is in perfect condition. The multiplex backrest is solid. The seat has been treated with hard oil.
Made by Fritz Hansen, the cap under the chair bears the date 1976.
