Carlo de Carli was born in Milan in 1910, he was an Italian architect, designer, essayist and academic.
He is one of the Italian protagonists of modern architecture and industrial design and their teaching.
His line of thought is embodied in the architectures from the post-war period to the early seventies;
he also designed numerous pieces of furniture with various artisans and industrial companies including the mod chair. 683 with Cassina winning the first Compasso d’Oro in 1954.
