Vintage Design
Set of four chrome metal chairs taking the B34 model of Marcel Breuer, reissued by the architects of the Centro Studi for Matteo Grassi in the 1960s.
These seats at the purified realization, has a chrome metal tubular structure.
The folder and the seat are stretched with a thick tawny leather. They are stung at Sellier, two-needle sewing technique, very appreciated because of the strongest. Each folder is stamped “Matteo Grassi”.
The presence under these armchairs of two metal hoops with no screws are highlighted. They allow, in a simple and fast way, to adjust and adjust the leather tension and therefore the firmness of the seat.
It should be noted that the latter seems in suspension, by the absence of vertical feet at the back. This conception, in addition to bringing an aerial spirit to these seats, also offers the advantage of giving flexibility: they adapt to the position and the morphology of the user.
With their original curves, these four Matteo Grassi chairs bring together brilliantly comfort and timeless design. They were originally ordered by the company Brown Boverie & Cie for their French headquarters of Nanterre.
