Vintage Design
The architect Josef Hoffmann designed this Art Nouveau table. Part of the famous bat series, design dates from 1905 and was created by J.&J. Kohn carried out. Hoffmann’s design philosophy shaped the ambience of the legendary Viennese cabaret Fledermaus on Kärntnerstrasse, where there was once a lot of laughter and lively, electrifying entertainment. In the 1980s, the series was redesigned by the Wittmann company.
The table top with fabric cover shows a repeat Art Deco pattern, over the fabric there is a glass plate, the end of the top
lined with a horizontal flute or flute as a protruding edge. Table legs and balls merge into the heavy base, which ends with a metal edge.
