The Tea Trolley 901 was originally designed by Alvar Aalto for Artek in 1936. It was the simplest of his tea trolley designs, combining British tea culture with Japanese architecture and woodworking styles. This example is an Italian made version by the company Alivar, who produced a small batch of Aalto furniture in the 1970s and 1980s. According to Artek 2nd cycle, these Alivar pieces are seldom seen and built very well.
