Designed by renowned Czech mid-century modern designer Ludvik Volak.

Made by Drevopodnik Holesov, a Czech brand established in 1958. Furniture from Holešov was often used in public buildings and facilities such as hotels, embassies, theaters and even the former Federal Assembly. To this day, the brand’s works continue to be highly influential among furniture enthusiasts, especially for their laminated wood workmanship.

This set of chairs dates from the second half of the 20th century and was made in Czechoslovakia. The chairs have the original upholstery in very good condition. The construction is made of quality maple wood, which has been carefully treated and its polish has been revived. It has been re-polished with polyutherane piano lacquer by our professional refurbishing team in Czechia according to the original process.

The chairs have a very stable and solid construction, which ensures their long life and comfortable use. The chairs were made by Dřevopodnik Holešov according to the design of architect Ludvík Volák. This architect also designed other pieces of furniture, including a room wall and a coffee table, which were designed to complement these chairs.

High back chair called “Chiavarina”, these chairs were expertly built in the 1960s in Chiavari, a city renowned for the production of chairs since the early 19th century. Made from mahogany-coloured polished French beech wood and hand-woven straw, these chairs are not only elegant but also extraordinarily light.

Irma chairs:

The Irma chairs, designed by Achille Castiglioni for Zanotta, are a prime example of innovative Italian design of the 1970s.

Condition: The chairs show light signs of age-related wear, including a patinated leather surface and partially worn paint on the metal frame. One chair has small tears in the lower seating area.

The Top Sit chair was designed by Winfried Staeb (Germany) in 1969. The chair was produced for the Form+Life collection by Reuter Product Design. This is a perfect example of a space age chair. The chair is made from a piece of red painted plastic and has a handle in the low backrest. An eye-catcher!

A large set of Gustavian chairs from around 1900. These include two armchairs and eight dining room chairs. The pieces of furniture have been given a new cover and are a real feast for the eyes and suitable for everyday use. Cross braces, baluster legs and rosettes decorate the pieces. Manufactured in the so-called swan neck model with a height of 100 cm and 105 cm. The seat height is a comfortable 46 cm. There are 10 pieces of furniture in total. Attached are two photos taken before the new upholstery.

This set of four model 205 chairs was designed in the 1960s by Thomas Harlev for Farstrup. The frame of the chairs is made of solid teak and has been professionally and carefully restored by removing old coatings, staining and finishing with varnish. The seat and backrest have been reupholstered with a beige fabric made of a mixture of linen, cotton and viscose, resembling in its texture the materials originally used in the 1960s. The upholstery sponge was also replaced.

These exquisite dining chairs, designed by Rainer Daumiller and manufactured by Hirtshals Savværk (Hirtshals Sawmill), represent the best of Danish mid-century design. They are characterized by their frame made of solid pine wood and an ergonomically designed seat. The chairs were produced between 1960 and 1969 and are known for their exceptional craftsmanship and timeless design.
