Artek’s N65 children’s chair is a slightly re-sized model of Chair 65 designed by Alvar Aalto in 1935. In 2013, in honor of the 80th anniversary, Artek released classic furniture decorated with beloved Moomin characters. The seat of the chair is decorated with a Snufkin who is on his way to Moominvalley in spring.

Made of birch wood, the N65 chair features characteristic elements for Aalto’s furniture design such as the round seat and bent L-legs. The chair also has a curved back made of birch plywood, which guarantees great seating comfort. The chair has a seat height of 38 cm, and it fits perfectly together with small tables. Artek’s K65 chair is the perfect choice of furniture that will complement any children’s room.

Vintage kid’s chairs by Alvar Aalto, model N65 for Artek, Finland.

These children’s chairs date from the 1960s – 70s, they were retailed in the USA by ICF, 57th St New York. ICF Labels are present to the underside of all 4 chairs.

Birch bentwood with white laminate seat. The wood has a lovely rich golden tone only acquired through time.

In excellent overall condition, no damage. All are nice and sturdy. Minor signs of age and use. Some of the screws to the underside have been replaced, these are not visible, the screws on the backs are all original. Cleaned, ready for use.
