this design was created by Carlos Scarpa (1906-1978) for Venini when he was their artistic director from 1933 to 1947.
While working for Venini, Scarpa reshaped the forms used by Venini and influenced all 20th century glass making with his modern design, new color coatings and techniques.
Each glass Poliedri piece is mouth blown.
With a diameter of 85cm, this chandelier represents an incredibly impressive piece of contemporary history and design. It illuminated the staircase of a Parisian city villa, where it was an eye-catcher of particular elegance.
