The Egg, model 3316 designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 and manufactured by Fritz Hansen. The chair is upholstered in cognac colored patinated leather and is in great condition.
Arne Jacobsen created the Egg back in 1958 as part of a project for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. On the same occasion, the Swan, the Swan sofa, Series 3300 and Dråben were also presented, and it was with this furniture that Arne Jacobsen entered Danish design history worldwide.
Arne Jacobsen The egg is made of a strong inner shell of foam during padding. The x-shaped foot on which the chair stands is made of satin-polished aluminum.
