Vintage Design
Early pair of lounge chairs, model 401 + 402, designed by Alvar Aalto in 1933.
These chairs were purchased in the 1940s and manufactured by Artek.
They are reupholstered with a nice De Ploeg Landscape fabric in ocher/cream (73% wool, 27% polyethyleen). Also the foam is renewed.
The frames are made of bent laminated birch wood.
Classic modernist chairs.
