Van Cleef & Arpels Diamond Socrate Earrings, large model

The spectacularly abundant bouquet of twelve clustered flowers per earring makes this pair quite stunning. A luminous ode to nature, each earring shows the blooms facing in various directions as if being blown naturalistically by a light breeze. From the 1920s to present day, floral motifs have always been at the heart of Van Cleef & Arpels’ creativity. Even when formalized with stylized shapes such as the five petal Socrate™ bloom, the Maison manages to communicate the vitality of movement and the constant metamorphosis of the natural world.

Created by Van Cleef & Arpels, Paris in the Contemporary era, circa 2000s. The metal and gemstones are 18K white gold, set with approx. 265 round brilliant-cut diamonds with an estimated diamond carat weight of 5.45 carats (approx.). The earrings are fitted for pierced ears with French clips. The dimensions are 1.25 in. (32 mm) length by 1.22 in. (31 mm) width with a gross weight of 27.1 g. Signed VCA.
