Vintage Design
The Strips bed was designed in the early 1970s by Cini Boeri. It has a structure in wood with a high-density polyurethane foam frame upholstered with fabric (in a dark brown shade).
The base has two black lacquered metal feet and two wheels that make the bed more easy to move.
The exterior quilted cover is completely removable, and fixed to the structure through a closure system with zips and buttons.
The peculiarity of this piece is the cover that becomes part of the bed itself: by opening a simple zip, the bed is ready, and only a pillow must be added to be used.
The Strips collection by Arflex, which also includes sofas and poufs, was awarded the Compasso D’Oro Award and displayed in various relevant museums in the world as Triennale in Milan, Tokyo, and the Moma in New York.
The Cross armchair was designed by Marcello Cuneo in 1974 and produced by Arflex, It presents a very simple structure in black lacquered metal covered with thick canvas, with a load-bearing function, that supports the seat and back cushions, padded with acrylic fiber.
Dimensions:
H40 x 140 x 220 cm (Strips single bed)
