Vintage Design
It is a useful piece which is ideal for a bathroom, nursery or guest bedroom and would look lovely displaying a ceramic water jug and bowl.
The washstand is made of oak and is fairly compact but solid, with a single door to the front and a wooden towel rail to either side. The top has a small back plate and the base is set on an open stretcher base.
I have hand painted the washstand in my own mix of mid blue paint. The paintwork has been lightly distressed and then darkly waxed which gives depth and character to the finish.
The door has been hand decorated with a star.
CONDITION
This piece is generally in solid structural condition. There are a various small cosmetic marks of age and use including old inactive wood worm holes to the back of the cabinet which have been treated as a precaution and filled.
